Damon Albarn Shares ‘Polaris’ From Upcoming Solo Album

Damon Albarn has released the second song from his upcoming solo album, The Nearer The Fountain, More Pure The Stream Flows. Titled ‘Polaris,’ the song comes with a live performance clip that is shot in black-and-white. ‘The Nearer The Fountain, More Pure The Stream Flows’ will be released on Transgressive Records on November 12. 

Originally intended as an orchestral piece inspired by the landscapes of Iceland, this last year has seen a return to the music in lockdown and develop the work to 11 tracks. Further exploring themes of fragility, loss, emergence and rebirth. Damon Albarn OBE is an English musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. He is best known as the frontman and primary lyricist of the rock band Blur and as the co-founder, lead vocalist, instrumentalist and primary songwriter of the virtual band Gorillaz.
